  : My best piece of advice for staying at Riad Saltana would be to come with any questions to your welcome with Geraldine, listen to her advice and do exactly what she says. We followed her recommendations and had a fantastic time in Essouira, including a lovely dinner at a restaurant she suggested. Breakfast on the roof with a view of the sea was also a particular highlight and we very much appreciated being able to leave our bags at the Riad for our final day.

  : The location was nice and also the staff working there were very nice, but the owner, a French woman, was very impolite to us. Would never go there again.
  : The owner was really allergic to every sound in the house and very impolite in this respect to us. The house is old, wind is blowing through the doors of every room, so of course people talking is heard through all the house. We have 4 teenagers, who of course can not be completely quiet but they are nice and happy children. She was screaming at us that we are disrespectful to her and other guests while talking loud. And this screaming of hers was the loudest noise in those two days that we were there. We were already out of our minds only taking care that we whisper all the time and we were out of that place for the majority of the day. This experience very much ruin our trip to Essaouira, which I would say it could be a beautiful little town. The owners room was at the middle of the house and she kept her door always open, so she can hear all the sounds and then complain. We would never go there again, I dont recommend it to anyone with children. This facility is only meant for quiet couples, not generating any sound whatsoever, even whispering should be quiet. Quiet people would love it there. The facility also smells of nicotine. The Terrasse was so windy and cold we could not eat there breakfast, even though the owner wanted us to eat there as we were to loud to eat indoors. And they keep the signs on the door of every room, how to rate them and if we dont like them we should not rate them at all. It was not a nice experience.
