: Great location with views out to the sea from the roof terrace. Kept immaculately clean and tidy. Staff are kind and helpful. All of the Medina is close at hand while access to the beach is easy too.
: Ground floor room that we had was fine but definitely the other rooms were better with their own balconies or terraces some with views to the sea. Bed was a bit firm. First time you find the alley to the hotel you may wonder about your safety particularly if it is after dark but it is fine. Not a negative about this property but a comment on the general location to put it in context: The Medina is much more laid back than Marrakech. You will be hustled and occasionally hassled but it is pretty good natured. This is an old town and upkeep work is constant. Some streets are rubble. Some are freshly paved. Some are both. All have cats and dogs so watch where you walk. Cyclists and death wish scooter riders somehow weave among the crowd while talking on their mobile phones. Meanwhile diesel dumper trucks laden with rubble/ building materials insinuate themselves down implausibly narrow alleys next to a smart pavement cafe. Somehow room is found for everyone. Go with the flow, accept the state of ordered chaos and you’ll be fine. If you want a sanitized souk then go to Madinat Jumeirah but you’ll be missing the real deal that is Essaouria.

: There was no air conditioning- it wasn’t too hot but because you had to keep windows open the noise from outside or people closing doors was really loud
